Most
new home owners do not consider the importance of including
the services of a home inspector when they buy a new property.
At Inspection FIRST Inc., it is our business to assist you
in evaluating your new home purchase, so of course we do highly
recommend that you consider the involvement of a home inspector
the minute you consider purchasing a new home. Regardless
of when a home inspector is involved, the process includes
contacting Inspection FIRST Inc. and once the assignment is
received by us, you can relax as we will do the rest.
- We will contact vendor or his agent to arrange for inspection.
- We will notify you of our progress with inspection times.
- We will invite you to attend the inspection with us.
- We will attend at the property and remain there for as
much time as required for us to carefully evaluate all aspects
of the property including, but not limited to the following:
- Roof, vents, flashings, and trim.
- Gutters and downspouts.
- Skylight, chimney and other roof penetrations.
- Decks, stoops, porches, walkways, and railings.
- Eaves, soffit and fascia.
- Grading and drainage.
- Basement, foundation and crawlspace.
- Water penetration and foundation movement.
- Heating systems.
- Cooling systems.
- Main water shut off valves.
- Water heating system.
- Interior plumbing fixtures and faucets.
- Drainage sump pumps with accessible floats.
- Electrical service line and meter box.
- Main disconnect and service amperage.
- Electrical panels, breakers and fuses.
- Grounding and bonding.
- GFCIs and AFCIs.
- Fireplace damper door and hearth.
- Insulation and ventilation.
- Garage doors, safety sensors, and openers.
- We will prepare a written detailed report provided to
you. We will review the report with you and answer any questions
that you may have. A report will allow you to fully understand
the condition of the property you are about to purchase
as well as negotiate the best sale price with the vendor.
